Help with new 125 gallon build

Yes I did and it doesn't show the lines either on the bottom. I'm waiting on my order for the diamond bit. So it seems that none of the glass on this tank is tempered.

drillins easy, i was so worried about shatterin my 125, drilled my refugium first, then realized just how easy it was. the thicker glass on the 125 takes a bit longer, and the sound can get defining. i did mine inside my foyer, wich is tile floors and walls and glass windows. plus i put 7 holes in the back of my tank. i think i still might hear that sound haunting me sometimes lol

Got my baffles for the sump ready to go. Currently doing a leak test on the sump, so far so good...

Now its time to put the baffles in place. Also got my BM NAC 7 Skimmer

Anyone else thinking that skimmer is undersized? The Atman pumps are also known to be loud. The Reef Octopus is rated for a 140 gallon tank on BRS and the pump pulls in almost twice as much air.

Well, yet another issue..:headwally: In putting the skimmer together it seems to me that there is a part missing. From the instruction sheet it looks like it is the Air intake kit.

Update....

Well i got the baffles siliconed in this weekend. Went ok overall but there are 2 sides of the outer baffles that I couldnt do because of space and not being able to get my hand in there. Does anyone think this will be a problem? Will the other side being siliconed hold?

Its the inside walls of both outer baffles that i could not get to.

I couldn't really get silicone in those 2 either, but it's not a problem. I filled that section with water and it didn't leak. Even if it had leaked it still would have served the purpose of directing the air bubbles up and out.

As long as the water level in the return section is not a lot lower than the skimmer and fuge section, there shouldn't be too much pressure on the baffles to move them. I wouldn't be too concern about it being leak proof either. If you worry that the baffles won't hold, you can glue two narrow strips of acrylic on the outside to keep the baffle from moving.

Thanks Doughball and Simon,
I was mainly worried that it needed to be leak proof and not that the baffles would hold. Besides siliconing, I also applied gel super glue to hold in place and they are in there pretty solid.

All my plumbings were 1" PVC for both return and drain.

Thanks Simon, How is the BH1450 pump? Still happy with it? Going to start getting ready to order the rest of my stuff that i need to get everything going and thinking of going with this return pump.
