Help with new tank and high nitrates

I'm on very clean well water as well but still use the BRS RODI system to make water. I was thinking of maybe dosing with that NoPox from red Sea to see if that helps lower them. My diatoms are getting uglier and would like a Clean up Crew too but these high nitrates are stopping me from doing so. I was thinking of picking up some chaeto for the sump to see if that helps bring them down.

But these water changes with no effect is getting old.

I tried the Chaeto thing too. My sump has too much flow for the Chaeto algae. It just broke up and disintegrated in a few days. I use a DIY algae scraper. I clean it off every few weeks. I have an LED blue and red grow light on it from Amazon. I don't know if the scraper is doing anything but since my nitrates and nitrites are at zero, I'm leaving it in place.

Do you have a good LFS? Like I said, mine told me the water changes weren't going to help much, that tank needed to cycle until the ammonia dropped to zero. I'm pretty sure the ammonia reading meant the tank was still cycling. (for over two months!)

Where is your ammonia level at?
