I finally recieved my CADLights 25g 150watt HQI a couple days ago, and although the stand's assembly instructions were MIA and CADLights says they only have the Japanese version, I got it assembled yesterday and am ready to start setting the tank up. I currently have two Maxi-jet 900's with Hydor flo's and am wanting to run them as a wavemaker on my Reefkeeper II. My problem is, how do I run the return to even out the flow as the return and one powerhead will be on the right side? CADLights estimates the return pump to put out 450gph. Here's a picture CADLights sent me of the new return line:
Here's a full tank shot:
and one of where I was wanting to have my powerheads:
I liked the original CADLights design of having the return coming from the front, which would balance out the flow from the powerheads and create some nice random flow. Should I just run the loc-line to the front and go with that design, or run the loc-line toward the middle more? Or something totally different?
I know some of you feel I should just trade the Maxi-jets for a tunze or Hydor Koralia, but i'm going to keep the Maxi-jets for now.
Let me know what you guys think.
