Help with return pump

So I am set on the DC pumps and just ordered the speedwave 5000 pump from PA, but it's on back order for a couple of weeks and I wanted to get started on my build right away. So I'm looking now at the Waveline 4000. The price is about the same but this Waveline can be controlled by my RKE but it's about 300 gph less than the speedwave 5000. Would this still be an adequate return pump for a 25 cube with about 4-5 feet of head between tank and sump and a manifold off the return for media reactors, or should I just hold out for the speedwave 5000 for the extra flow?

Patience is a big part of this hobby. A couple of weeks isn't a big deal. Just gives you more time to put more thought into other parts.

Not all waveline pump can be controlled by a RKE . Only the generation 2 waveline pumps can be controlled by a RKE. Generation 1 waveline pumps are the same as the speedwave and the diablo all made by the same company. I think the waveline will do a good job for that size tank if you want it to work with your rke

Ya the wave lines I'm lookin at (PA's website) say they are controllable by the reefkeeper so I'd assume its the gen 2 model.

And trust me I know the patience deal this build has been inderworks for almost 2 years now with slowly collecting equipment! But ignited if the other pump was equally good (as it seems to be) I'd just switch to the other pump.

Do you guys think the DC 5000 would be too much for this small of a tank? Or should I be looking at the 3000 model? I plan to have a manifold off the return that feeds three media reactors plus my fuge with about 4.5 feet of head. I just want to make sure whichever pump I get I won't find myself wishing I had more flow. So if a 3000 would be more than enough itd probably make more sense to go that route than the 5000. Oh and the overflow will be the 700gph overflow box from a certain online site I'm sure everyone's familiar with (not sure if its ok to say their name here or not).

I think I'd wait for the 5000. The reasoning is it is controllable and you can turn it down. Also when turned down, they're said to run quieter.
