We'll after a job transfer and selling my old 210 gallon FOWLER I'm itching to get into another tank. My 29 gallon reef just isn't cutting it. I've got a few ideas on how I'd like to run the new tank, but am in no way against taking suggestions from you fellow Reef Masters! I'd like to start buying equipment now so I'll be ready to set up towards the end of December.

Here's what I've got so far:

210 AGA w/ dual overflows

Sequence Reeflo Dart

2- Vortech pumps w/ Controller and Battery Backup

3- IceCap 250 Watt SE 14 K MH's (will the 250's penetrate deep enough? Do I need to go to DE? Not crazy about going to 400 Watters, Heat and Power Consumption)

4- 54 Watt Sunlight Supply T-5's with Actinic Bulbs (already have)

ATI Bubble Master 250

Red Sea 200 mg/hr Deluxe Ozonizer (would the 100 mg be big enough?)

3- IceCap 4" Fans for Canopy

2- ViaAqua 300 Watt Heaters w/ Ranco Controller

JBJ Auto Top Off System

Captive Purity 75 GPH RODI System

Like I said, I am open to any equipment suggestions that you may have. I'm particularly looking to hear input on the Lighting and the skimmer.

Forgot to mention that I'm going to be using my old sump. I'll also be dosing by hand, but will eventually probably move to a CA Reactor.

well, I'm definitely not a "Reef Master"
but you have a lot of great equipment there, you'll have to decide what livestock you intend to keep, if you're going with sps I'm partial to MH's, a combo of MH's and T5's would be ideal.

sounds kinda like my 210 but i have solaris and tunzes. lookin good. i also have an h&s skimmer not ati but that was my second choice

Sounds good. I am upgrading to a 210 as well. I have been using straight t5s now for about a year. They work great. I just order a custom retro from Catalina Aquarium. Call them they can make a retro for you. Can't beat the price. they are making me a 960w 72" retro.

Are you going to manifold the return line?
