i added him and the other clown together about 3 weeks ago..i had them on the hold at the LFS for two weeks before i got them. they were nice enough to keep them in one of those hangin breeder bins at the top of tank...

so now i would like to know what these spots are and how to get rid of them..

HI Nano,

Your pic is a little to blury.

However, juding by what you said you should look up Melanism.

Some clowns skin can darken; to dar spots becuase they are being stung by a coral either they are hosting in or are swimming by.

If you google it look up some images.

IF that is what he has he should be fine; its basically harmless.

only coral i have that i could imagine stinging would be a Hammer...and they dont seem to play near it at all...the rest are just zoas, leathers, a kenya tree, and mushrooms..i have noticed on occasion he tries to steal food from the hammer..would this practice get him stung?

and yeah sorry about the blurry pic...quick little bugger under macro..

on a side note he i swimming and eating good, an no laboured breathing..
