Help with SPS color

Its not redbugs its where I had just feed the corals and fish. I will take more pics this evening when I get home and there will not be any red spots. The red was not there before and were not there after I turned the powerheads back on. When I feed the tank Energy A&B I creat a cloud around each coral and leave powerheads and skimmer off for 30minutes.

Here is another pic from tonight, let me know if you still the red bugs in this pic. I hope not.

I dont see any in that pic, but that doesnt prove they arent there. Hopefully it was just the cyclopeeze, but for keep a close eye on them.

I have watched frags for a month in QT, and found not a single one. Then, right at the very last second before I put it in the display I find some.

When I got the SPS they were all dipped in Coral Rx before placing in tank. I really don't think they were Red Bugs but I will keep an eye out. Thanks

Coral rx is not a guarantee to kill RBs. I was dipping mine in coral rx too and still got the RBs. They are gone now, but just wanted to let you know that coral rx does not kill RBs.

Bayer advanced lawn and turf conentrate 10ml in 1/2 cup water for 5 min kills RB!!! and acro eating flat worms! And so far not harming my corals. I am still battling RB's popping up. I dip as soon as i identify one to "hopefully" keep them from jumping to another colony.

Was just doing my daily inspection of my corals and I noticed that one of the Acro's I thought I had lost has polyp's again. The top polpys are coming back Blue like they were but there are some new ones that are green. Def a good sign. I tried to get a pic but couldn't get it the way the coral is positioned.

My Leishmans Red Table is starting to turn red on the tips again and green on base, yay! Looks like raising of NO3, PO4 and adding Energy A&B every day is working!

Very Interesting. Tagging along here too. I have low nitrates too. Phosphates are low. Run heavy skimming along with a filter sock. Acros and all other corals doing fine, except the monti caps, which look pale....
So much to learn.

Please do! Feel free to post anything, questions, etc... maybe anything you have tried are trying, results etc...

Thank you kissman :-p

My parameters were similar to yours when you had everything close to zero.
Will try to increase the nitrates just a tad. I did start supplementing with ELOS amino acids a week ago, and the color on the monti caps are starting to color up again. My worries about feeding more heavily lies in the fact that I still have some residual hair algae in some nook and crannies not reacheable by my larger Mexican turbo snails....

I think i just learned something about my lights that I didn't know. If its true I had no idea about a "cold Spot" thats on the label side and that the label side should be placed at the end with the fans and ballast. To achieve max par and life. Is this true? I need to check my bulbs when my lights go out tonight and cool down.

I will be damned I had 2 out of six in the right direction, lol! I have since switched them around and cold spot is on the fan side. Hope this increases my PAR we will see. May not make any difference who knows
