Help with sps trying to recover from rtn

About a week ago I dosed 25ml of Amquel Plus directly to the reef (about 50 gallons total water volume). Within hours there was a smell and as the next few days proceeded rtn set in on alot of the acros. I've done two about 50% water changes, added purigen and changed out the activated carbon.

A few of the acros are totally done but there are some that have tissue on the underside and look like they may have a chance to recover.

I don't think I want to do anymore major wc's because it looks like things are stable.

I have also changed one of the 10k t5 to ati blue plus in order to discourage algae from growing on the dead (top) parts that I'm hopping may recover
.
Should I reduce the duration of the lighting?. Currently I'm running it for about 6 hours.

Lights are currently
Ati 3 blue plus and 1 ati coral plus

Would it help if I have lights out for a few days to encourage tissue growth?.

Here's a not so detailed picture of the tank a few days after my screw up.

thanks for any help

Sounds like you did too much at once. I cover the rtn part with gel supper glue and it stops sometimes.

Not sure what the Amquel did to screw things up but it wrecked havoc within a few hours. Since the water smelled like a sewer and cloudy, the major wc's were a no brainer. I thought the amquel killed the nitrifying bacteria but ammonia tested fine.

Too much rtn for super glue. Wondering if I should reduce light.

Some have cited good results dipping in TLF "Revive", and others have cited good results with a couple quick swishes in RO/DI, and others have just sat and waited to see what happened.

There's not really any definitive way to stop RTN no matter what you do. It'll stop, or keep going, depending on factors we can't yet understand.
