I have a colony of metallic green star polyps. The problem is that they are not so green they are turning brown. I have T5 lighting. What is going on. All my water par are good. Also where should I place it towards the top, middle, or bottom. please help.

a shift in light spectrum is the normal cause, how old are your bulbs and are you using allot of 3000k/6500k bulbs??

water quality would be next in line but it usually takes pretty high levels of excessive nutrients to get GSPs to brown out.

In my tank i find that the higher the spectrum, the greener they are and vice versa. But its more likly to the fact that mine are under actinics.

Well i moved them futher down in the tank and today they look a bit more greener than usual. They are starting to spread I guess this is a good thing.
