Help With strange ID...

Hello all, I am in need of a little help! I found this thing drifting on my sandbed a few weeks ago, and it looks like a gill from one of my clams. I have 2 clams, 1 about 5 inches the other about 3. I can still see the gill in the bigger one, can't get a good view on the smaller one though. Water Q is above average and lighting is adequate...both clams are still showing full mantle extension....any guesses out there? I really hope I'm wrong on this one.

seems to look a little like snail, or nudibranch eggs. do you have any in the tank? if not it can be a hitchhiker from your live rock,maybe a dead worm of some sort.

It turned out to be the gill from a linkia star fish. First and last one I will ever buy too!
