help with Superman montipora...

It's currently white with red polyps. I want to make sure it's at the right level of lighting to color up blue.

Right now it's around 12-14" directly under a 150w 20k DE halide.

it is hard to say... not all of them react to the light in the same way... I would say start in a lower location and work your way up.

You probably want to move it up with 150w halides. I would place it 6" under the surface.

I agree with Chris. How long have you had it, and where was it kept before you got it? Mine are under 250 XM 10K, and about 10 inches below lights.

Maybe I've got the obnoxious one ... By the book I placed it really high in the tank and stressed out right away... I have it now at about 18" under 250W 20K and is probably the nicest piece I've ever seen.

Mine is about 6-8" under a 250w 10k XM and it has very red polyps with a blue base.

i have mine 8-10 inches under 250w MH

I have mine about 18 inches under a 400 MH 14K. And it's blue with bright red polyps. And growing fast.
