TBRC need help
I have a 56 gallon Freshwater planted tank with 3 8" discus and 7 neon tetras, shrimps and otto cats. I have had this tank for over 3 years without any issues. Today I got a call from my daughter that all the fish were trying to jump out of tank and moving fast and in circles. 30 minutes later when I got home I find only 1 neon swimming crazy. All others turned pale and died. I have never seen anything like this and want to make sure that this does not happen to my 210 gallon reef. All was well this morning when I left to work. Any suggestions as to what could cause such a rapid decline? I checked parameters and all levels are good. I did a WC about two weeks ago. I use Seachem matrix and phosban in a Rena canister filter that is rated upto 175 gallon. I was worried what caused this might be air born like Carbon monoxide / gas leak but my two alarms would have gone off. On my reef tank I have GFO reactor filled with Carbon.
Any help finding out what could have caused this and prevent this from happening to my reef would be greatly appreciated.
Thx,
Z
