I have not had any luck with sea hares, I have bought four of them and the longest any lived was two weeks, The last one was doing good for a week or so and then it died also.
I had a bout with this a year or so ago. I got rid of it by heavy skimming and slowly raising my Magnesium levels to 1550-1600. I did this for a few weeks and it started to die and removal was a lot easier. Mine has never come back. good luck
i had it to raise magnisum up with kent tech the only brand that works it wont happen overnite it takes awhile for it to die away as it does remove with tweezers also used alot of carbon as it died off its the worse algae to get rid of
I have a sea hare at home that is a munching machine. He is living in the wifes nano tank and has for the last month or two. We had a massive outbreak of that stuff when we were cycling the tank and the sea hare ate it all in about three days and he has been living on whatever he can inside the tank. I may think of loaning him out as he does not have a whole lot to eat in there.
