Clam is fading kinda see through in spots is this from lack of nutrients? I wouldn't think lack of lights its sitting under a 250 XM 20k about 10 inches down.
Using SE bulbs Clam has been there since I got it a few months ago, he move a couple of times the first few days then anchored to the rock. The reason I was wondering about nutrients is I had high nitrates in the 40 range and then I went on vodka for about a month, and slowly worked my nitrates down under 5 that was about 2 weeks ago and then cut the vodka. No algae bloom however there is still some hair algae on the plastics in the tank. The clam has been doing this since. I will say the brighter colors (markings) seemed to stay there color. Here is a top down. And before any one goes too crazy about the vodka I tried everything else before I used it and I done it in the correct dosage the other clam a derasa in the tank hasn't been bothered by it at all. All of my corals held their color fine through the vodka as well. So I really don't think its the cause other than maybe the lake of nitrates in the tank. Phoshates are undectable by eye. Thanks for everyones help so far.
