Help with toad stool coral

Hi all

I've had this toad stool for about a year and all good. Recently it's not been looking too god and had now gone bad. (See pic) any advice on what to do and will it effect the rest of the tank.

I have had mine do this before and it recover after a few days. It formed a glassy like skin on the top which it shed later and grew bigger.

However, I have also had another do the same thing and be dead, you have to be careful with leathers bc they can release toxins into the water if they are ripped open after dieing. If you see pieces of it flaking off, pull it out.

Thanks for the advice. I will keep a close eye on it and if I see any leakage or flaking I will take it out.

How much flow you got it in.... all my toads are In high high high flow... haven't had to shed in 6 months.....

It's in reasonable flow, it's on the edge of the flow from my 4800lph korilia so reasonable I'd say.

In my experience, when the stalk deflates and bends over, they are gonners.
