Help with too much coralline!?!?

Does anyone know a way to keep coralline algae off of the black background an an acrylic aquarium.? I think it looks way better with the black, but it is a massive pain to keep it clean with a scraper.

Ther eis no way to avoid corraline algae unless you stay completly dark. The salt you use has calcium in it which helps the corraline grow. Even in dark areas corraline will grow.

urchins demolish coraline algae, but there's some that say that urchins can cause problems with acrylic as well

Yes they can leave teeth marks in the acrylic. Has happened to me before.

Ther is a chart near the bottom withdiffrent kinds of urchins and there diets. I would think you would want a tuxedo urchin.
