Hello,

I'm trying to set my AC3 so that i can access it from the internet. I can access the AC3 locally from other pc by typing AC3's ip address: 192.168.1.50. However, when trying to access it using the WAN ip address then it doesn't work.

I'm using Netgear wgr614 v5 router. The AC3 is hooked up to
a wireless buffalo ethernet converter. I tried setting up AC3 by configuring the router's IP forward configuration by create a new service name, and give the start/end port number to be the same: 4001. Like i said before, this doesn't seem to work since accessing using the xx.xx.x.x:4001 doesn't work.

anyone knows what the problem is?

How do you check if port 80 (or any other port) is blocked?

I can't seem to use Port Forwarding feature of my NetGear router so that i can access AquaNotes from the internet.

I've tried the following 2 ways:

1. Add 192.168.1.50 (my AC3 Pro's ip) to HTTP service on start port 80 and end port 80.

2. Create new customer service w/ name 'AC3' and picked TCP as connection type, and choose 80 for start and 80 for end port.

Both of these methods above do not work when trying to access my external IP using either: http://xx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8080/AquaNotes or http://xx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8080/

I tried testing to see if my portwarding configuration is correct or not by creating a standard default.html with 'hello' as body text and try to bring this up using http://xx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8080/ but it doesn't work either.

Using http://www.canyouseeme.org/ and check port 80 on my ip and the result came back "connection timed out".

I've got no more idea where it can be wrong. Anyone knows what's going on?
