Help, yellow wrasse dieing

I bought 2 yellow wrasses on 6/27. 1 disappeared, not sure if it died or was taken out by an anemone.

Anyway, they were both eating fine(frozen mysis) and params all checked out. Tonight, the 2nd fish was lying on it's side and breathing heavily. It's eyes were also bugged out. See pic attached. I just tested and here are the results using Red Sea test kit:

Salinity - 1.028
PH - 8.18
Temp - 82
Ammonia - zero
Nitrites - .05
Nitrates - not sure, it is at least 50, but the kit has you diluting and not sure if I did it right.

140 gallon DT
sump
eshopps 200 skimmer
sicce 5 main pump
2 koralia heads
apex gold controller

I have a glass cover for each side, could it be oxygen? No idea.

The only things in the tank are 1 hammer coral and the cleanup crew from TBS.

Thanks,

Michael.

Ok, new update, the one that died overnight was actually the fish that I thought was eaten by an anemone. The other one that has been swimming and eating fine just popped up out of the sand and seems ok.

Hello,

Why do you keep your salinity at 1.028?

I think it is too much for most fish, because they will spend a lot of energy to fight with this salinity level.

I suppose you should decrease the salinity to 1.024/1.025, before introducing new fish.

I have been adding RO/DI to drop the salinity back down and will be doing a water change later today.

My new anthias will be going into my new QT with water taken during the water change from my DT.

Thanks Richard, is there a chance it's still cycling? I never got diatom blooms. Both nitrates and ammonia zeroed out, so I assumed it was done cycling.

You are long done cycling....just need to change some water to bring down the nitrates...and tank will be happy!
