Nothing to see Move along
I have had this little colony for about 8 months. Here is a picture of them on March 1st.

Since then, they have been growing new polyps, but "shrinking" in the middle. Here is an April 3rd picture.

Can anybody see my problem? I got a small new Eagle Eye colony on March 14th, but it is 18-24 inches away and not showing any problems. There is another colony of green/orange zoos 1-2 inches away that is not showing any problems either.

Please help!

I would keep an eye on any predation from pests, My anemone has gotten close to a colony of mine and the tentacles had stung some of the zoos and thats excatly what they looked like, is anything along those lines a possibility? sorry if that didnt help at all, but thats all that came to mind.

edit: I believe there is a fungal infection that will cause them to look like that also, its killed many folks button polyps on this forum. i havent encountered it myself so i suggest lookin into that as well.

I have a BTA 3-4 inches above it. Would that explain it?

I've had some zoas positively respond to a cleaning, i.e., use a turkey baster or powerhead to blow detritus out of the inner portion. Some reefers make a routine out of it.
