Help!!! :-)

I've been out of the hobby for a while now and ready to get back in. I have a 10 year old son wanting a tank so it's time. I'm looking at an all in one system but I'm having a hard time deciding on which one. The JBJ systems seem to have the biggest following which is great. Oceanic are also pretty price friendly. The Red Sea 130 looks nice as well but is it worth the extra money??? I've seen some nice custom acrylic setups which I'm open to as well but I am working on a budget so the AIO setups seem most efficient.

One of my questions with any is which lighting to go with? As far as corals I plan on having ricordia and LPS...maybe an SPS or two depending on what lighting I settle on.

I know there are several threads similar so I apologize but I just wanted to start my own thread. So, if you could set up your perfect nano what would it be? Thanks and I look forward to any suggestions.

I'm pretty fond of my biocubes. (I've got the 14 and 29) It's got everything I need for my corals and I can easily update the lighting to a retro LED system that fits right into the hood. It also has plenty of mods made for it from many people. Some people think it's small, but I think it's a perfect size for a beginner. It just takes a little more work than a 75 gal tank :) A bit of a watchful eye, yunno? I have Ricordea Mushrooms and plan to also get LPS. SPS is do-able with the stock set of lights (i've seen it done a lot!) but probably would be best to upgrade the lighting..

Anyway. I see a ton of people use the JBJ tanks too! So I'm guessing both are equally as great. It's just which one you will want to look at every day. :)

Love my 14G Biocube...I did a retrofit LED on it from RapidLED. SPS, LPS and softies all doing well. One thing I love is for a 14G water changes are a snap. lol

Thanks for the suggestions. I really haven't made a decision yet. I'm leaning towards the LED lights though for the lack of heat and shimmer.
