Is chloroquine safe for coral?

I guess its a chlorine reducer ? I would think it wouold be worse then the chlorine? This has to be from tap water remove the source remove the problem.

chloroquine phosphate is malaria med used in the hobby for a parasites; it is not safe with coral or other inverts. There is no parasite med that works in a reef tank. Most chlorine/ammonia neutralizers are sodium thiosulfate, very safe, even when over-dosed. What are you trying to do with it?
