Hi, my step dad has recently passed away and has left his tank behind. I have basic knowledge on how to do water changes, feed, clean etc. however when I did the last water change and the colt coral is not the same. I spoke to one of his friends and he said its "sulking" I'm not sure if this is correct. It has been a week and it has still not opened up since the change. All the other corals and fish are the same as before. What could it be ?
Thanks
Lewis

Hi and welcome to the forum!

It sounds most likely that your new water parameters didn't match up with the tank parameters which could have upset the coral.

To give more specific suggestions or help people on this forum like to see pictures of the critter in question if possible, and to know your water parameters and basic set-up (Many people just put this info in their signature or on their profile to avoid repeating it).

Hi I am not sure about the water parameters of the tank. How do I get these ? I did the water change last Saturday. I have attached a picture I took yesterday. I did 20gallons which was the normal amount that he would do.

I'm going to the aquarium centre where he would go a lot,mot see what they think. But in his words they have "limited knowledge". :lmao:

Thanks for the reply.
Lewis

There are some stickies in the new to hobby forum that may help with the answers you are looking for. If there is a local club in your area they may help you out or take it off your hands if that is something you want to do
