I just put a frogspawn in my 120g reef tank. It is 1 of two corals in the tank. My peppermint shrimp all 3 of them immediately thought I gave them a snack. Any suggestions on how to get the shrimp out of the tank? Tried to catch them. That was useless with the net. Help pease before my coral is gone.

I've had peppermint shrimp before with frogspawn's, torches, and a huge hammer coral with no problem at all. Are you sure they are eating it? maybe just investigating to see what it is? I hope nothing bad happens to you frogspawn.

While i am not sure whether shrimp eat frogspawn, catching them will require a trap. Use a 2 liter bottle with the top part cut and inverted (with food in the bottle) or you can google saltwater shrimp trap and buy one for 10 bucks.

I highly doubt they're eating it. Double check before going through all that trouble trying to take them out. I have both shrimps and frogspawn and never seen them try to eat it

I went through a similar situation.. I SWORE they were eating my frogspawn.. I decided next night to wait out the shrimp.. come to find out.. it was eating all it could off of the skeleton!!! when new coral come in, it has all kinds of buildup on it.. our lil friends just want whats theirs lol once they cleaned it fully up.. they left it alone

Good Luck.. HTH!!!
