My golden Headed Sleeper just stopped eating (eating great for 1 1/2 months strait). What food is recommended? I put him on frozen, uncooked shrimp recently, and he kind of like it. I will go back to the old food and see if he eats again.

Any other suggestions (favorite foods, etc.)

Thanks
Vishy

Have you tried using garlic on the food? The fish I have had that have been hard to get eating, always liked the garlic.

What are your water condition? You may want to check as this could be a reason for the fish to stop eating.

Try feeding different foods, like Formular I & II and some pellet and flake.

I put some of the old fod in yesterday, but didn't see him eat it. And he's looking worse today. I have been treating him with Metrodinazole and Focus for about a week and a couple days. Would that make him feel bad?
Should I do a water change? The temp is good (78), and the salinity is 35.

I don't know what the nitrate or any of that is cuz I don't have a test kit for it.

Thanks

If your treating him in a QT tank, you likely have an ammonia spike. Have you tested that yet? I would do a water change.

I think that goby is going to die. Man, I am going to beat myself up over this for not asking here sooner. I just thought that he didn't like the shrimp.

Right now he's in the basement and while I was doing the water change I was watching him and he was barely swimming and rocking back and forth like he couldn't ballance. if he survives I will post again.
I did a pretty big water change (almost 50%). Is there anything else I can do for him?

Thanks
