This afternoon I went to look at my tank and I saw a long, thick(1 mm) white stringy thing on a wall. I just added my cuc a week ago. Any help would be appreciated.

You will not get a definite answer without a pic. It's like asking a blind man, what color is his eyes. A picture would get you the right answer, not a shot in the dark. Happy reefing.

Now it appears i have round thin flat things on my walls. They kind off look like dwarf ceriths, except without the shell.

Your description sounds like vermetid snails. The extend a long web like substance out of a tube that extends from the base of a spiral looking shell. They are very small.
