help!!!

I just got my first shroom about a week ago. It opened up nice and looked great. Now its like half way open and there is all these white strands coming out from underneath it. What does this mean is it dying or is this natural?????

ok i was going to post a pic but have no clue how to it keeps saying it is an invalid extension????????????????

Check your alkalinity and ph: it's trying to purge its gut to cope with something it doesn't like much. Also watch your light levels, and make sure nothing has hit or bitten it. Your water params should be: ph 8.3; alk 8.3-9.3; salinity 1.025; temp 80; calcium 400.

If thats what it is i think i know what caused it. This morning when i fed my fish a piece of fish food fell in the mushrooms mouth and i thought oh well he'll probably eat it. So do you think he'll be alright?
