i just bought a long tentacle anemone and it won't stay put anywhere i try to put it and i'm scared it's gonna kill the other coral i have what can I do?

Dig a hole in the sand. Put the foot in it and cover his foot up again. Just think about where you would like it to saty(not to say it will for sure) Flow but not excessive flow.Dig the hole as far down as you can. They like to have there foot covered all the way. At the base of a rock would be great.

Worked for both of mine

Good luck at let us know how it goes.

An anemone will go where it likes it best, not much you can do. I thought I read that you are not supposed to bury there foot that if thats where they want to be then thats where they'll go. I'd say just watch it and once he finds a spot he likes then move your corals away from there. Thats why some people say anemones should be in a species only tank.

just my 2 cents.

Usually they will not kill other coral. I have had a carpet sweep over much of my sps, lethers and zoos with no harm.

There are lot's of people that dig the hole for them as it not only assures your other corals but keeps the nem safe from power heads and what not.But just because you put it somewhere does not mean that it will indeed stay there. Both mine have stayed put in the spot where i put them and that has been 6 months for one and about 3 weeks for the other one. I just thought about the flow patterns and light and the are apparently happy:)
