hi everyone, i'm new to this forum.
I wonder if you could give me some help.
I've decided to setup my aquarium again now that i have settled in my new house, the aquarium is 300 lts (approx 70g).
would anyone advice me how many kgs/pds of live rock should i put in?
i also would like some help with the lighting, i have 3 pl t5 lights eack of approx 10,000k each and 2 t5 from arcadia 15,000k each, woulkd you think i have enough lighting?
I would like to setup the aquarium as a reef!!!!!!!

well thanks and all your help is appreciated.

General rule of thumb for LR is1# to 1.5# per gallon - so you would be looking at approximately 70 to 105 pounds of LR for optimal filtration.

Depending on the wattage, those lights should be enough for your tank to keep softies, LPS, and most SPS. I run 6x39w T5s on my 92 and have great growth even at the bottom.

cdangel0,
the lights are all 55 watts each, hence i think i will have enough lighting.

drummereef,

what do you mean by high output lights?.

what I know is that each of the 2 t5 arcadia lights give out 15000k each and the 3 other lights from interpet give 10000k each.

drummereef those are the lights i have,
well thanks for the advice, i'll keep posting to show how the aquarium is going on.
i'll feel the tank with approx 140 plds of live rock.
thanks again.
Dustin
