i wanna make a skimmer for my 340g tank..any ideas outthere or any experience?

There was a square skimmer build in here somewhere....The guy seemed impressed with it....Thats about all i can say on that though. Sorry

If you don't need it to be clear, I just had a fantastic idea. Get one of those round cardboard forms from HD, like a 12" one. You could coat it inside and out with fiberglass/epoxy and you'll have a nice big skimmer body. Just a thought.
