I transfered 75gal reef to a 125gal and now I have to clean off a green dust like alge on the glass everyday and the sand has it too. I started running my mhs only 4-5hrs and that help with the green dust, but now I have a brown or dark red dust on the glass that has gotten better but still have to clean it evey few days. can anyone help what is this I made the transfer about 2mths ago

What are the parameters of your aquarium?
ammonia
nitrite
nitrate
phosphate
pH

It's possible that because the tank is young, the biological filter is not as well established as you're used to. In that case nitrates could be building up and feeding the algae (the green dust). Also, if you bumped up the lighting on the aquarium, you will pretty much be witnessing what usually happens. Having to clean the glass every few days is not a sign of an unhealthy tank though. I don't know anyone who doesn't have to clean algae every now and then. Make sure you have an appropriate sized clean up crew too. You may just need to add a few mexican turbo snails or something similar.

Well they don't look bad.
It could be that the tank is just settling out, but from the sounds of it you really don't have anything wrong. Maybe you should just get a few more members of your clean up crew. Some nassarius snails to help stir up the sand, and some mexican turbos to help clean the glass.
