So far my tank has been up for about 5 months or so and everything has been seemingly perfect. Although my only problem is that i have around ten aiptasia thriving in my tank along with a couple tiny little patches of green macro sort of thing. My question is how do i control and eliminate this stuff iv heard about red leg hermits, cleaner shrimp chemicals, what works? anyone have an extra shrimp that eats aiptasia? right now i have around 10 astreas i think and 10 blue legs. any help would be great.

Thanks, Ian

you can train some peppermint shrimp to eat them and some copperbanded buttyerfly will eat them as well. If you wanted to try the chemical route joes juice will work on big ones that you can get to!

I like to use boiling RO/DI water. I boil some water then inject each one at the base. Works really well. I also use kalk paste and feed it to it's mouth. Both work well. Joes Juice hasn't worked very good for me..

i do vinegar right out of the microwave and shoot it right into the base of the aptasia, works everytime.

^^^^ vinegar ,works every time .Inexpensive ,I dont know why people go through all this expensive stuff. It has never failed me.And I also got rid of about 200+ red tip tulip aptasia.Just try injecting it into the base or in any part of your aptasia,if it does'nt work than you spend.000005cents trying.
