Look man, you're going to be fine. Just run your skimmer and don't do anything else but monitor your levels for the next month.
If your going to add any more sand you should just do it now since your going to go through the same thing again if you add it later.
Once you start to see the ammonia level rise, you're on your way. If your rock is cured you should see this right away. Once the Ammonia starts to drop the Nitrite will spike; once that starts to fall the Nitrate level will rise. This is a simple explination.
When your Ammonia and Nitrites are at ZERO you're at the end of the cycle. Still you should only add animals once the Nitrate level falls.
