Hello,

does someone can help me identify better?

I leave here some pictures, I hope to be able to see well and identify with no doubt ..

PS - sorry my bad english ..

If the SH is still a juvie, sometimes it's hard to tell. However, the SH's coronet doesn't suggest H. reidi to me (note the little rear swept "hook"). The coronet of H. reidi looks like it has been "crumpled" flat. Also note the lined markings around the eyes of your SH, which also suggest kuda.

hi ,

thanks for replying and helping me ..

this is one of the points that had seen it too, but if we see when the raids are the similarities between the new Kudas and reidis are some ..

the opinions are divided .. :)

already here in Portugal there is very different opinions, but here very few people have seahorses ..

we wait to see more opinions :)

once again thanks for help ..

I'm not sure what you mean when you say "raids"...

However, look at the double-pointed eye spines (hard to see in your pix) and prominent cheek spine on your SH...again, both are traits of H. kuda.

Both species have 11 body rings, so no help there. However, if you want to try and count the dorsal rays, H. kuda has 17-18, while H. reidi has 16-19 rays. Altho there is some overlap at 17-18, 16 or 19 rays will nail it down for you.

SH ID isn't easy for novice keepers, and for whatever reason, it sounds like you WANT your SH to be H. reidi, but I'm not seeing it.
