I have a 100 Gal 3/4 round tank for 7 months now with corals and Fish...things were going great..All levels have been fine with very few issues in the beginning...However in the past 24 hours I have been losing Fish..The first fish was the Yellow eye Kole tang I found dead at the bottom at 7am, then the yellow clown Gobie, then the Green clown Gobie...Now 12 hours later My two P. clown Fish have some white spots (Not ICH) and they have some slime on them...My Diamond Goby is breathing real Hard and is ready to die...The only fish that seems ok is the Yellow Tang...Med to large size..
So sorry I don't have pics...However My corals are great...Inverts (snails, cleaner shrimp, Crabs)..Yes all fine...
Temp around 78
Sal 1.023
PH 8.2
Safe Ammonia, Nitrate, and Nitrite levels...
Please HELP!!!!

Have you added anything recently? Based on the spots, mucous/slime, and rapid deaths, I would look into brooklynella.

Thank you...I did add "LIve Cured Fiji Rock" 2 weeks ago...and the LFS said to test for all the basics...I did and it was all fine...They said it couldnt be the live rock...BUT I think it is...What do I do now???

Did it look like this?

Your description is leading me to believe its brook as well. That stuff is a killer, once it shows its symptoms there is not much you can do.

Yes it does look like that...However the last Clown has it and I am down to one fish...My Yellow tang, and he seems ok...I know I will prob lose the other clown...But what do I do from this point??? I have 5 beautiful corals doing great and I don't have a Q tank for the tang...nor can I catch him without causing a mess... I don't want to spoil the corals...I called the LFS and gave them a piece of my mind after leading me to believe it was good cured rock...they said they would make it up to me...What a hobby?? I am not frustrated to quit...Just very disappointed at the direction I was given...

f-ed, i thought it was ick too, but reading this and seeing your description. i think got the same problem. going to read up brooknella, too bad i lost about 90% of my fish already, only hippo tang, and my angel still living, but i think there are white spots on my flame angel now too. =( let me know if you find anything more info.

It likely is the LR.

In this hobby you absolutely cannot add anything wild of unknown status into any established tank that has both fish and invertebrates.

A tank is a very artificial and very confined space. Always be keenly aware of this fact.

Hello all and thanks...I am down to the one Tang...95% of the fish arw GONE...The corals are ok...What do I do now in the *-10 week wait...will the Tang carry this disease and infect new fish in 8 weeks??? Please advise me of the steps needed..
thanks...
