Does anyone know if I can drill the bottom?

I cannot go out the back as I have a 3inch chair moulding which is already pushing my current tank off the wall about 4 inches, add a 1 inch pipe out the back to clear the chair moulding, ill be about 6 inch off the wall.

So long story short, I need to drill the bottom of my new tank 65g marineland or keep the durso.

Suggestions?

most likely not. Those tanks are tempered glass on the bottom.

Can you use a hole saw to cut a slot in the chair rail and make room for the pipe? Then keep the piece and you can always wood putty/glue it back in later on, and with some putty and sanding and paint you'd never know it was gone....
