That is a nice montipora capricornus( I presume). It has a nice deep purple hue while mine own monti cap is lighter purple. I just love those small purple polyps that come out when they are happy. That looks like a wild acro colony. Good luck with them- give them lots of flow and good lighting along with quality water and they should be ok.

I do believe the acro should color up but check in the sps forum. When I did Sps the monticaps were my favorite. To me they seem the fastest growing

the came into the lfs from someone local that was tearing down there tank

so the owner of the lfs let me fragg them off the rock they were on and I brought them home only paid 50$ for both too!!

thanks Im ready to get started with my sps collection.
my tank is a mixed reef but the tophalf is going to be sps only!!! lol

water perams are great And I have halides w/t-5 actinics

and 72x turnover in my tank so hopefully im finally ready to start adding all the sps I want to get
