Hey what's the "I see visions of a 240g"?

I asked the same thing on another thread.

That would be cool - I just got the word today my 240 - 280 is on! I can't touch the wall for three or so months - which is a good thing. So the planing has now started! I'm thinking sept/oct start ordering - Sweeeeeet!

wowsers are you kidding?if you really want to go that big, plan, plan, plan.i doubt i will do a large tank, but i can dream.i really have to think cost and find out what id be getting into.

Checkinhawk - That's what I told you last Saturday - 240 or 280. remember I have four/Five tanks now - 75G reef, 65G reef, 20G frag tank, 10G QT (When needed) and a 90G freshwater tank - add all those together - 260G! Trust me one tank will be much easier that 4 separate. I calculated it out - in the long run it will cost less also. Right now I need two of everything - at least. I will still end up with most likely the big tank (In wall), 20G frag and my freshwater guys will go the the 65g tank. I was going to get rid of the freshwater but Robin insisted I keep them - I've had these guys forever and they are very special to me - so they stay and they will live the rest of there lives here. I made that commitment when I purchased them. Also if the opportunity had not arrived - it wouldn't be happening right now - maybe two years from now. I have to remove the wall that the tank will be in, so why rebuild it twice - if you know what I mean. Planning - I've been really planing this for two years already, now I need to start putting it on paper.

Hey checkinhawk - you forget that I was an engineer for over 24 years. Planning and organization is my middle name. This is small fry compared to the multi-million dollar projects I'm accustomed to handling - LOL. I detail and organize things to a fault - if you know what I mean. Now tell me who has a better organized garage then me - :D.

Actually this is going to be part of a house upgrade and we need to make sure everything flows from one room to the next.
I want the cabinetry to match all the way through - do it together and you'll get that otherwise you just hope they have the style you picked when after two years you're ready to finish. I'm not going to take that chance - and the time is right for me - so why not. We're talking water in a year or so - not tomorrow - I have lots of patience - nothing will be rushed including my kitchen build.
