hermit crabs: good vs. evil

I don't think of them as hired employees to clean my algae. I don't have a problem with it and if I did there are other things that need to be looked at like the source of water and chemistry of the tank. Hermits move and have personality. Many people, me included, think they can be comical. I am actually planning on setting up small tanks to keep them in separate from my corals. I have had FOWLR for years and never had corals so hermits were some of the most interesting animals I've had. When people talk about them it is like they are evil little devils.
If from the start I had learned about them as animals to be kept in a species only tank with out corals and not just read that they were evil I probably would have set up a species tank. Most of them don't require the expensive lighting systems, many can be hardier, and they have a lot more personality then most corals.

I just wish I could find out more information about hermits and other crabs like Anemone and porcelain, non"true crabs".

WaterKeeper long time no see. I'm going nuts for more information about these animals. It seems to me at this point that 20 years ago someone made a list of scientific names with no photos, or descriptions and that is all the written information there is, which is worthless.

More recently I found this site which seems to have some useful photos with names:
