hermit crabs

What do Hermits eat? I just put a few in my new tank, and I'm not sure what to feed them.

hermits eat just about anything and are constantly ripping through the sandbed in search of food. whenever i feed my fish i tend to put a little extra so that it can drop to the bottom so the hermits can have a chance to eat.
