Hermit Love?

I got a few new hermit's for my nano, One of my older ones keeps grabbing the new ones.
He just sorta holds on to them with there shell openings together. There doesnt seem to be any real violence.
So im just wondering if he's just "getting his groove on" or is he trying to kill them

Sounds like he's sizing up their shells. Does he have any empty shells to move into? If not, you may see him rip another crab from its shell so he can steal it.

He has a various assortment of emptys to choose from, The hermit he is grabbing is smaller then he it and hed never fit into its shell.

I have the same thing going on in my tank. Its kinda like the large crab on a little power trip. When I split them up it makes a bee line after the smaller crab. The smaller crabs seem to move away as fast as possible. This does not happen all the time but enough for me to notice. This has gone on for about 2 to 3 months and has never lead to a crabs death. I guess if they don't kill each other it is ok.
