They'll eat anything, really. I have 6 and I feed them frozen mysid and they go crazy for it.
But you're also going to be wasting your money. In the long run, hermits become expensive, and are really only necessary because it keeps the mantis's clubs healthy. I'd say just buy frozen shrimp and feed him that off and on.
