Today marks day 12 of CP tx. Unfortunately, my sohal has been flashing for the past few days as well as the blenny... This morning the sohal is covered in ich.
Let's back track, so I can get the best, appropriate help.
The two culprits are the sohal and purple. Bought before Xmas, probably a week and a half. I was upgrading my tank, so all fish were in holding bins. I had an established yellow tang, so the tangs were together in a bin. When all appeared well, in went the fish. The next day or two the tangs showed signs of ich. Then the blenny. My clowns, nothing, wrasse, nothing. Some anthias were bought, and put into the holding bins and water where the tangs were, the purchase of the anthias and the transfer of the tangs happened within a day or so, the event s overlap.
On Xmas day I removed all fish from the tank and into bins they went. Ordered CP and began tx on 1/3/15.
1/6- ich appeared on the tangs, no serious effects, went away, thus at least 7-10 days elapsed before signs showed from first noticing.
1/11- sohal and blenny flash, blenny curls up and bites its tail. No other fish exhibit symptoms, but notice marks that may be ich on the yellow, some discoloration on the purple, but not sure if these were wounds from previous bout.
Naso shows some marks on body, more apparent on fins.
Yesterday prazipro was added, I thought it would be safe to add it at this point seeing how it was past the ten day mark, and I have the clowns and anthias in a separate tank. The tangs, blenny, and small wrasse are in a 40 breeder, and the clowns and anthias are in a separate 7 gallon.
1/15- this am, the sohal has spots all over fin, face, body; Naso: fins and round lesions on under belly, purple: white spots on fins, few spots on body, yellow difficult to tell but I think it has some. Blenny: no spots, but flashes. The clowns and anthias, at one point in the same tank as the other fish, have never showed signs of ich.
With each water change, I dosed the wc water with the appropriate cp from ebay.
At this point I am at a loss of words..
Is the ich just completing the life cycle and this happens to be coincidental? Or is cp failing? It appears the life cycle appeared every 10-12 days, and this is the worst I've seen the sohal.
Should I abandon cp and do ttm? I've done enough water changes where I should have just done ttm to begin with. I'm very upset at myself, and need guidance. Please advise! Thanks for reading
