i just put 2 x 54w t5s over my bc14s....

i bought a gorgeous colony of pocillopora? that is what the young employee told me... it is very branchy though.....it was in a very large lagoon tank off in the corner not even close to the 400w halide. it has a very nice green base on the branchs with brown polyps.. i bought it on saturday and it was been fully open for the last 2 days,
just came home and the tips of each branch are still full but beyond that.. they are pretty closed.... any ideas? im new to sps

My pocillipora took almost a month to get used to my system. One day it would look great then not open for two days, then half would open. I think yours is still trying to settle in. Can you post a pic? I am not sure if a poci can RTN or STN. RTN is pretty obvious, so unless you see flesh peeling, I think it still maybe acclimating.

hey joe,

i moved the coral 3/4 down my tank just now.
before it was sitting 4 or 5 inches from the t5s.
now its 12 to 14 inches from the lights.
there is no sign of peeling...
