Hey Roger, got any small pumps?

Hey Roger,
I am looking for a small pump to feed a Scuran JS1 Calcium reactor.
I know many are using peristalic pumps, I don't want to go this route as I do not believe these machines are meant to be run this much.
Does Tunze offer anything in the 80-150 gph range?
Thanks,
Sean

Not that I could really recommend for this application. My advise would be to get a T fitting in your return line. For a while I had a set up where I drilled and tapped my return piping and installed a Jaco fitting to feed a Calcium Reactor and it worked very well. It was an old Korallin reactor- first generation. No point in having another pump to worry about. If you have to go with another pump the little Eheim 1046 or 1048 would be the best choice as they have a high pressure and use a 9mm hose and while they make more heat then I would like they are pretty bullet proof.

I will definitely look into this.

These are my thoughts exactly.

Thanks Roger,

If you use schedule 80 it has enough strength to be drilled and tapped without any worries. Use a 1/8" NPT tap for the Jaco fitting or John Guest, Sears definitely sells the tap.

THanks Roger.
I am going to go the tap route first.

I am trying to simplify and stabilize.

Hey I like that.
It is now my reefing philosophy "Simplify and stabilize".

You heard it here first. :D
