Hi fin red banded goby

Does anyone have any experience with them? Good fish? Can i keep one in an open tank or are they jumpers?

Plenty of experience.
Great little shrimp goby.
I wouldn't keep 'em in a open top tank.

Good fish. I had a pair but one disappeared shortly after I took them out of QT and added them to my display. I think it rode the overflow, so I'd suggest covering the tank and netting off any small holes. The fish I have remaining is very active and very pretty.

their great little fish with an awsome personality...i would definately cover any openings because they occassionally do jump when startled...good luck

what should i use as covering if i do get this fish, what size tanks have you had them in and what pistol shrimp have you seen them match up with?

egg crate...glass canopy anything thats waterproof fish safe and will fit over the tank
