Hi there,
I have just joined your forum in the hope that a little something I found many years ago in the shallows of the Red Sea may finally be identified for me.
This 6 1/2 cm long gently curved 'tusk' is finely ribbed and hollow.
It's very thin walls are cold to the touch and off white in colour.
I really don't know what else to add except i found it in the shallow waters (beach side) at the edges of the start of the reef.
I have always fantasised it was exactly as it looks, a 'Tusk' for some exotic type of elephant fish or dragon eel or unicorn shrimp!!! (I am aware that though these fish might or might not exist, these fish were mythical beasts of my own makeup, after all I was a young girl with a strong imagination) so I wonder if any one on here could identify what this is for me??????
if you need more information please don't hesitate to ask and i will try and furnish you with an answer.
Thank you for looking at this thread, and hopefully for letting me know what this might be part of.
