Hiding Bicolor

So I got a Bicolor Blenny almost a week ago. I drop acclimated him and for the first couple of days he was hiding and exploring, but I haven't seen him in days! My question is how long has your Blenny hid for in one go? And how long until I should be worried?

The tank has a lid and no overflow.

When i frst got my tribal blenny, i have probs seen it a total of 10 secs within a span of two weeks. After that, it slowly came out and now to a point where it would eat of my hand, i feel like most fish will always grow accustomed to a new tank eventually unless there is a fish bullying it. Id say give a lil more time and if its still alive, you should slowly start seeing it more often

Thanks that's very reassuring, I guess there would be signs if it had died. He is only the third fish in there.

Still no sign of him! The rock he was hiding in does have a small bta on it, could it have eaten the Blenny? I feel this is very unlikely as I would have seen it with at least part of it out before being fully consumed? I just picked up the rock and held it out of water for a few seconds to he if he'd swim out, but nothing! I'll test ammonia again in a few days. It's been a week now since I saw him [emoji26]

Nope, the small nem would have taken 12 hours to eat him, this I doubt, he's found a hiding spot I think....no ammonia spike.....he either jumped out....or is hiding.....

Yeah that's what I thought thanks. The tank has a glass lid, even so I have looked around as best I could on the floor but am sure I would still be able to smell it.

Keep in mind you wont always get an ammonia spike based on the tanks size, amount of filtration and the size of the cleanup crew.

It's 45ish litres and my cuc consists of two very small hermit crabs, two nassarius snails and four trochus snails

what food are you feeding your fish and what are your other two fish?
They get frozen brine shrimp and mysis shrimp, pellets, dried blood worms and because of the Bicolor I've started trying with some nori. They are a bit scared of the clip I think right now. Two chromis. I did also put a bit of Nori on the blennys rock when he was out and about but took it away a while later.

Like an inch or a bit over.

I doubt you would get any ammonia spike from a fish that small. 2 hermits and 2 nassarius snail (plus the worms, pods and etc) will eat that overnight.

I am not saying the fish is def dead. It might still be hiding and eventually appear. Just keep in mind you dont always get ammonia.

Also does your tank have a frame for the glass lid to sit on? I have seen fish jump and get stuck between the frame and the glass lid.

It has a slight frame but it's nowhere up there.
Yeah I'll keep that all in mind thanks for all your responses guys. I'll just keep fingers crossed for now I guess.
