Hiding Wrasse

How long can Wrasses dissapear into rockwork and sand when new in a tank before one should get worried? This is a larger Melanurus that ate very well yesterday. Saw him cruising around till lights out. Did not jump out, is not in sock or sump.

LOL. Went out after making this post and there he was ready to eat. So in the case of my wrasse it was 16 hours. Get he likes his sleep.

I added a Purple Tang to my tank and my Yellow Wrasse disappeared for nearly a week. Near the end of the week, I was sure the wrasse was dead, and one day he made a re-appearance.

They're really weird fish. Glad to see that your wrasse re-appeared. After 4 days of disappearance, I would definitely be on the lookout, and would start getting concerned after a week.
