High Alk

My alk is reading at 12. I'm dosing BRS two part cal/alk. Would it be a good idea to stop dosing for a few day or just simply decrease the dosage? I'm dosing ~60-65ml for my 180 gallon with a couple sps and clams. lmk what you think would be a good course to get it down to 9-10dkh. I think that's a good range to aim for, right.

Also, do you dose after a water change because I continued the dosage I've been doing lately. Not sure if that would have an impact. I just didn't want to turn the dosers off and turn them back on after every wc unless it's recommended.

Either one will work but if you lower the dosage amount and your numbers start to fall, then when you get to the point where you are happy you will need to increase the amount so it doesnt continue to fall. I would probably lower is by like 10% and see what happens. You really want to lower it slowly and then up the dosage amount just a tad to maintain
