my tank alk is at 16dkh and my clams are not fully open what can i do shut down my reactor and i did a 10 gal water change is their any thing else that i can do to bring it down do you think the clams will make it my tank is a 75 gal thanks
That's obviously a very stressful situation for clams (corals as well). Don't make it worse by bringing it back down too fast. That could stress them either further. Take it slow, and they might be just fine. Best of luck.
i agree with Peabody. turn your reactor off for now and let the alk fall. when it gets back around 9- 10dkh start it back up but test,test,test until its adjusted
